About

During the Pandemic of 2020, two pastors serving at Vestavia Hills Methodist Church, near Birmingham, Alabama (USA), realized they had the time to make video-based Bible studies for their congregation. Bill Brunson and Kipp McClurg both loved the Gospel of John, and filmed 28 episodes spanning the Gospel (called “Bill and Kipp’s Excellent Bible Adventures - John”). They discovered that they had a great deal of fun filming together, and the chemistry was evident to those who studied the materials.

To make materials available to a wider audience, The Life of Purpose was begun, and additional series have been filmed and added. The original series has also been cut into smaller groupings (not everyone is up for 28 episodes - they learned a few things along the way). Other pastors have filmed a series or two as well. The goal has been to create a trustworthy library for students of the Bible, at all levels of faith experience.

There is much that divides churches, but their goal is to create basic materials that form the foundations of faith as revealed in the study of Scripture. It is hoped those watching have fun and are inspired to find a life of purpose centered in Jesus Christ through these resources. The use of materials is free, but we invite you to contribute as you are able to enable more to be produced.
